The Journey of Parshv: A Gift of Hope
In 2013, an 8-year-old boy named Dhalson was found alone at Coimbatore railway station. Rescued by Childline, he was placed in the Erode Government Children’s Home, unable to speak the local language or recall his origins. Staff from Don Bosco Anbu Illam regularly visited, providing support as he pursued his education.
Later, Dhalson moved to Don Bosco Boys Home in Coimbatore. As he grew older, he struggled with motivation and identity. Upon turning 18, efforts to get him an Aadhaar card led to a breakthrough — biometric data revealed his real name was Parshv and traced him to Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
With help from Don Bosco, Homelink Network, and child protection officials, contact was made with his mother. After 11 years, a video call brought tears of joy and paved the way for a reunion. On October 10, 2023, Parshv was reunited with his family.
His story is one of resilience, care, and the power of compassion — a young life restored through hope and dedication.
